Note: This data entered on this screen is used to initialize the new exchanger and is only available before the exchanger is built.

All of the properties except for the TEMA/UHX configuration can be changed at any time after the exchanger has been built. However, this screen is a good place to setup all of your basic properties like temperature, pressure etc.

The 'position' and 'direction' properties are optional but can be useful since they are used for Center of gravity and liquid head calculations.

If you have an existing thermal design from STX or another thermal design program, you can read in the file by clicking on the Read Thermal button. Please note that not all of the properties/data needed to complete the mechanical design will be available from the thermal design. After you have imported a thermal design you should always look over all of the data and verify that it is complete and correct.
