ASME Code Calculations Section 8, Div. 1 per 2006 Addenda.

The following types of parts can be designed, modeled and rated in PVX:

  • Tubesheets TEMA/ASME:
    Stationary, Fixed, Floating Head and U-Tube.
  • Expansion Joints and Distributor Belts.
  • Flanges (ASME and Special)
  • Bolted Covers.
  • Cylinders and Pipes.
  • Cones
  • Flanged and Dished Heads, Semi Elliptical Heads, Spherical Heads, Flat Heads.
  • Nozzles, Couplings and Openings (ASME and Special).

For modeling purposes other types of non-calculating objects and parts can also be included in the 3D model. Among those are the following:

  • Tapered Saddle Supports, Skirt Supports, Lug Supports, Valves, pumps, Piping, Internal/External Plates, Stiffening Rings (Internal/External), Platforms, Ladders, Baffles.
  • 3D DXF objects.

Materials
PVX - 2007 comes with a complete  ASME material database with over 2000 materials that can be specified and used.

Reporting
PVX - 2007 produces complete ASME calculation reports for all calculated components. The reports can be fully customized to fit each customer and project.
