Adding Multiple Tube Sections to a Project
You can have multiple tube sections in on project in TubePro. The sections can have their own unique properties such as pitch, pattern and tube OD. However, all the tube sections have the same scale, if you size on all the other tubes sections will be automatically sized to the same scale.

Adding a Tube Section

Steps:

  1. Select Add Tube or Drawing Section from the Drawing menu
  2. Click on the location on the drawing where you want to locate the new section
  3. Click a second time on the drawing to set the approximate size of the section
  4. Now select the tube of section you want to add from the 'Create New Tube Section' window.



    If you select 'Create a Copy of an Existing Section' a new exact copy of the section you selected from the list will be created. Changes made to this section will not affect the section you made a copy from and vice versa.

    If you select 'New Drawing Area' the selected section will be drawn in this new area as well as in any other areas assign for it on other drawings. Any changes made to this area on this drawing will affect areas with this section on other drawings. However, since each drawing page can have it's own legend you can control what tubes and defects that are visible on each drawing.
  5. After you click OK the Tubefield Section Setup window is displayed. Select the properties for the new tube section and click OK
  6. The Tube Map Editor will now be displayed. Delete and modify the tube map until it has the desired shape and then close the Tub Map Editor. The drawing will now be update with the new tube section.
  7. If you want to move or size the section you select the Edit Drawing tab on the bottom of the drawing window and the use the mouse to manipulate it.

To switch between what section is active in a drawing you select it either by clicking on it or by selecting it in the Project Browser. The Tube Map Editor and and Tube Inspection Editor will always load the data from the active section.

Splitting a section into multiple smaller sections

  1. Open the section for editing in the Tube Map Editor
  2. Select on of the tube section tools from the menu
  3. Select the tubes that you want to be part of the new section
  4. Select Create a New Section from the selected tubes from the Tubefield menu
  5. Give the section a new name and Click OK.

The tubes that were selected to be in the new section will now be removed from the active section and placed in the new section. You can divide a section in as many smaller sections as you want.
