Creating a tube-map from a rectangular tube section
Using a rectangular tube section as a basis you can create
virtually any type of tube layout in existence. Start by selecting 'New' and 'Rectangular Tube Section' from the 'File'
menu. After you do that the 'Tubefield Section Setup' window shown below
will be displayed. From this window you can setup the basic data for the
new section. The number of rows and tubes per row you specify can easily
be changed after you have created the section using any of the editing
tools at hand, and it's common to specify a larger number or rows and
tubes than initially thought to be needed.
From this window you can also select the drawing and reporting templates
that you want to use. These templates can be fully customized to fit a
particular company, client, project or all of them. Reusing templates is
a very fast way to get consistent reporting throughout an organization
or project.

Shaping the Tube Section. TubePro has numerous editing tools available
for to speed up the creation of the tube section.
Click here for a list of them.
Below is an example of using the
Poly-Line Delete tool. The layout below was crated by first selecting
the tool from the toolbar and then clicking on the the tubes in the
section that define the outline of the pattern. Once the pattern
has been completed you click on the first tube that defines the layout
and then all the pattern is created. IF you click on the wrong tube
while defining the pattern you can click on it again to unselect it.

If you discover that you have made a mistake in creating the layout
pattern you can always press the 'Undo' button. This will take you back
to where you were before. If the changes you have to make are minor then
it might be faster to use one of the many editing tools that are
available.
Mirroring of Sections TubePro has some easy to use functions to
mirror and reverse a tube section. In the example above you can easily
duplicate a mirror image it by selecting 'Mirror Tubefield Section->Make
Right half look like Left Half' from the "Tubefield' menu. The result
from doing that can be seen below.
You can also copy 'Right to Left', 'Top to Bottom' or 'Bottom to Top'

them on the drawing, and then selecting a criteria button from
the Legend Key. The Legend Key is fully customizable, inspection
criteria's can be completely modified to fit the current
project.
