Tube Inspection Editor

The Tube Inspection provides a very efficient way to enter information regarding the inspected tubes.

After you make a change to a cell the data in any related cells is automatically updated. If you for example enter 10% wall loss for a tube the Actual and Remaining wall loss cells for that tube are updated.

You can also enter different defect code's for the tubes. There are some defect codes that are reserved

  • PLG, enter this code for a plugged tube. All wall information for that tube will be erased.
  • OBS, enter this code an obstructed tube. All wall information for that tube will be erased.
  • RST, RSTR, enter this code a restricted tube. All wall information for that tube will be erased.
  • NRI, enter this for a tube that had No Recordable Indications of any wall loss, i.e. 0%.

All other defect code will not have any effect of the tubes other than being reported with them. The tubes that have been assigned a reserved defect code or a percent wall loss will take the color and shape they represent according to the Legend Key.

User Specified Inspection Criteria's
You can add your own tube inspection criteria's to a project by selecting Edit Tube Inspection Criteria's from the Edit menu.

Please note that the new criteria's that you add are not automatically added to the Tube Inspection Report. You have to go to the Report Template Editor and add them manually. The reason for this is that you can use different report templates for the project depending on the type of inspection that is being done and this gives you the freedom to select a report that fit's the project. Report templates can be saved and reused for future projects. They can also be distributed throughout and reused by your entire organization providing for standardized reporting.
